My name is Bay, a 27-year-old who has found a home in Bristol. My journey to creating my brand began shortly after completing my illustration degree during the pandemic.I was attacked, and after spending years coming to terms with this experience, I created Nasty Cow as a response.My goal is to support communities for survivors and to advocate for women's rights through designing clothes that reflect my beliefs in sex positivity, community, and celebrating bold, unapologetic feminine energy.

The name "Nasty Cow" originates from a family incident where a relative called my mother a "nasty cow" for being fair and setting boundaries at a family gathering. I vividly remember this name-calling from my childhood. As an adult, I want to reclaim and redefine this term. If being fair means being bossy, and having boundaries means being difficult, then I embrace being a bossy and difficult woman with pride.
